According to our Editorial Guide

Plinko Go is an arcade game developed by 1x2 Gaming, who are well known in the realm of casino games. Many people confuse it for a slot game, but in reality, it’s just a basic and simple Plinko game where you drop a ball, and it rolls through a pyramid full of pins to finally drop on a payout multiplier. I couldn’t really tie it to a specific theme, but the soundtrack and visuals are good enough to give you an arcade-like vibe.

When I said it’s a simple arcade game, I didn’t necessarily mean that it doesn’t offer you much. The best part about Plinko Go is that it has variable volatility, which you can change at every turn. The game also lets you choose the number of rows you want to play across the grid. The paylines and payout multipliers change based on which volatility and number of rows you choose. Though you’ll find many Plinko games with very large payout multipliers, Plinko Go’s maximum payout of 420x is not very bad compared to other similar titles. Regarding visuals and the simplicity of gameplay, this one surely surpasses many of its competitors in my opinion.

So, I think it’s worth a shot if you’re looking for a little laid-back gameplay with minimal effort and good graphics.

How To Play Plinko Go

Plinko Go is a very simple game and everything on the board is self-explanatory, in my opinion. Let’s take a look at how you can place your very first bets:

  1. Go to one of our recommended online casinos and sign up if you haven’t already

  2. Deposit and claim the welcome bonus so that you can start playing with bonus funds

  3. Search for Plinko Go in the casino lobby and launch the game

  4. Set the volatility (low, medium, or high) with the buttons on the left

  5. Set the number of rows (8, 10, 12, or 14) with the buttons on the right

  6. Set your bet amount (€0.10 to €50) with the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons at the bottom

  7. Click or tap on the play button in the middle

  8. Watch your Plinko balls fall on one of the prizes at the bottom of the board

One of my tips for a better experience is to use the autoplay button to slowly launch 5, 10, 20, 50, or 99 balls in one click or tap.

Features I found on Plinko Go

No matter what other reviews are trying to make you believe, I can tell you with 100% assurance that Plinko Go is not an online casino slot game. So, don’t get your hopes up and expect high-flying bonuses or any other-worldly feature that will drastically change your gameplay experience. Still, there are some pretty neat features that got me excited. In my opinion, you should try these out for an experience that satisfies you.

Adjustable Game Board and Paylines

Honestly, my first impression was that it’s just another Plinko game where you tap a button, watch the ball drop through the peg board, and leave it to luck. But then I discovered that I can adjust the number of rows, which in turn, changes the number of paylines on the board. This got me excited because it gives you a sense of control over the game. Though the outcome mostly depends on luck or, in reality, the certified Random Number Generator (RNG) software, the adjustable board lets you decide how much you leave it to chance.

While playing Plinko Go, I found options to choose between 8, 10, 12, and 14 rows. What caught my eye was that the total number of outcomes changes as you adjust the game board. Eight rows have the smallest number of paylines (9), and 14 rows have the highest (15). When I say paylines, I refer to the boxes where your Plinko balls will land. They don’t necessarily work the same way as casino slots; they’re just boxes with a multiplier that determines the payout.

Adjustable Volatility Level

1x2 Network lists it as a low-volatility game by default, but as far as I’ve seen, this Plinko game doesn’t really have a set volatility. It really amazed me how 1x2 Network can turn a simple game of Plinko into an engaging title with so many personalisation options. In Plinko Go, I could set the volatility to low, medium, and high. What this option does is change the multipliers on each box where the Plinko balls land.

The low volatility mode gave me smaller multipliers but they were pretty close to each other, meaning I can get low but frequent wins. The high volatility mode is just the opposite with huge payouts in small frequency. It felt really great when one of my Plinko balls landed on the 420x multiplier, even though I was playing Plinko Go in demo mode. The medium volatility payouts and frequencies are in the middle of the other two, just as the name implies.

Does Plinko Go Have a Theme?

Well, not really. It’s basically an arcade game and the look and feel are similar to other Plinko titles. The sound effects are energetic and funky like many arcade games. The board is set on a red and blue background, which is a nice colour combination, in my opinion. The rotating spotlights at the top added a nice touch as it gave me a game show-like vibe. The game’s logo, with balls rolling and lights blinking, also gives you a similar feeling.

The rest of the design elements are pretty basic. I found buttons for different volatility modes and row numbers right underneath the paylines/multipliers. The play button in the middle launches a Plinko ball from the top, but I had the most fun with the autoplay option. That’s because I could choose to launch up to 99 balls with a single tap and watch them fall one by one. I thought the way they fall in a nice, calm manner at regular intervals was very soothing to the eyes.

1x2 Network Behind the Scenes

1x2 Network is the software provider behind Plinko Go. The company was established in 2002 in the UK, so they have more than two decades of experience in the online gambling industry. I discovered that the network consists of four studios: Iron Dog Studio, 1x2gaming, AD LUNAM, and Prospect Gaming. Each of them are well-known names in their own right. 1x2 Network is licensed by many reputable gambling authorities around the world. Plus, the company has notable RNG certificates and seals of fairness from the GLI.

I’ve seen many online slots, classic tables, and other casino games from 1x2 on a casino site, such as Wheelz, Funbet, NetBet, Welle, and more. Their popular slot games include Gods of Olympus IV, Western Wilds Hold and Win, Sweet Candy Cash, Jack and the Magic Beans, and many more. 1x2 is also the developer behind the popular crash games Maverick and Maverick X. They even offer seasonal-themed games such as Jack Frost Megaways, Van Helsing’s Book of the Undead, and Sweet Candy Christmas.

After playing many of their titles, I’ve found their games offer engaging themes with appropriate soundtracks to match the vibe. I prefer playing on mobile, and I can confirm that their games are perfectly optimised for iOS and Android devices. All in all, I think 1x2 Network is doing really great with their slots and other games.

Plinko Go’s RTP

Plinko Go surprised me again with its three RTP variants, which are 92%, 94%, and 96%. This means that in the long run, the game will pay out somewhere around €92, €94, or €96 for every €100 players wager.

Of course, these are the theoretical RTPs that indicate your potential returns over thousands of rounds. Your actual return will get closer to the theoretical RTPs the more you play. But in general, the house edges for this game are quite low.

Did I Find Free Spins on Plinko Go?

Plinko Go isn’t a slot game, so it doesn’t have bonus features like free spins, wilds, cascading reels, bonus buys, or jackpots. In fact, I didn’t really find any bonus features at all on Plinko Go. That’s obviously because it’s an arcade game, and these games don’t usually offer the exciting features like slots do. Still, it’s a fairly engaging game for lazy afternoons.

Maximum Bet

The maximum amount you can bet on Plinko Go is €50 or 50 coins per ball or round.

Minimum Bet

The minimum amount you can bet on Plinko Go is €0.10 or 0.10 coin per ball or round.

My Final Thoughts on Plinko Go

After spending half an hour trying out the different features and all, I think Plinko Go is a commendable game for online casino players who love arcade games. I found the visuals undoubtedly better than many Plinko titles for different software providers. The game doesn’t clog your screen with paylines or multipliers when inactive. In all fairness, the minimalistic approach of this title attracted me the most.

There are no bonus buys or free spins features like the ones we find in slot games. But then again, it offers features like adjustable volatility and pegs, which are missing from many Plinko games. The maximum payout is not huge but it’s not too little either. It has good features and average payouts when compared to its competitors. Plus the small minimum bet size makes it affordable for every player.

All in all, I think Plinko Go is definitely worth a shot. I had a good time playing it, and the software provider’s efforts to make it aesthetically pleasing are really evident. The best thing is that the title offers you a relaxed experience with a very low-risk level and quite a number of personalisation options. I bet you’ll have a nice time betting on Plinko Go.
